The last 26 years under Welsh Labour have seen the worst PISA results in Great Britain, one in five people on a waiting list for treatment in Wales, and the lowest employment rate in the United Kingdom. These are significant failures that require an urgent but credible plan to address.
Darren Millar MS, the leader of the Welsh Conservatives, set out his credible plan to fix Wales over the weekend at the Conservative Party Conference.
Janet Finch-Saunders, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, welcomed this innovative and effective strategy.
Commenting on Darren Millar’s conference speech, Janet said:
“As Darren Millar MS rightly said, the Conservatives are the only party with a credible plan to fix Wales. For too long, we have seen Welsh public services decline, businesses leave Wales, and a lack of urgent action to address key challenges.
“The Welsh public deserve better than this. That is why the Welsh Conservatives have developed an innovative plan to tackle the issues that matter most to the people of Wales.
“ Darren Millar MS set out that the Welsh Conservatives, will cut Welsh income tax, scrap business rates for small enterprises, support family-run firms, eliminate wasteful spending, restore discipline, and raise standards in our schools.
“This plan has been developed alongside experts in their fields. Together, we can fix Wales and strengthen our economy, education system, and NHS.”

Mae’r 26 mlynedd diwethaf o dan Llafur Cymru wedi gweld y canlyniadau PISA gwaethaf ym Mhrydain Fawr, un o bob pump o bobl ar restr aros am driniaeth yng Nghymru a'r gyfradd gyflogaeth isaf yn y Deyrnas Unedig. Mae'r rhain yn fethiannau sylweddol, ac mae angen cynllun brys ond credadwy i fynd i'r afael â nhw.
Amlinellodd Darren Millar AS, arweinydd y Ceidwadwyr Cymreig, ei gynllun credadwy i drwsio Cymru dros y penwythnos yng Nghynhadledd y Blaid Geidwadol.
Croesawodd Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, y strategaeth arloesol ac effeithiol hon.
Wrth sôn am araith Darren Millar yn y gynhadledd, dywedodd Janet:
"Fel y dywedodd Darren Millar AS, y Ceidwadwyr yw'r unig blaid sydd â chynllun credadwy i drwsio Cymru. Am rhy hir, rydyn ni wedi gweld gwasanaethau cyhoeddus Cymru yn dirywio, busnesau'n gadael Cymru a diffyg gweithredu brys i fynd i'r afael â heriau allweddol.
"Mae'r cyhoedd yng Nghymru yn haeddu gwell na hyn. Dyna pam mae'r Ceidwadwyr Cymreig wedi datblygu cynllun arloesol i fynd i'r afael â'r materion sydd bwysicaf i bobl Cymru. Byddwn yn torri treth incwm Cymru, yn dileu ardrethi busnes i fusnesau bach, yn cefnogi cwmnïau teuluol, yn dileu gwariant gwastraffus, yn adfer disgyblaeth ac yn codi safonau yn ein hysgolion.
"Mae'r cynllun hwn wedi'i ddatblygu ochr yn ochr ag arbenigwyr yn eu meysydd. Gyda'n gilydd, gallwn ni drwsio Cymru a chryfhau ein heconomi, ein system addysg a'n GIG."
