Ysgol Bodafon Church in Wales School has been praised for being a warm, inclusive and nurturing community where pupils feel safe, happy and respected.
Recent inspection findings recognise the strong relationship between staff and pupils, with teachers and support staff knowing learners well and creating an environment that builds confidence, positive attitudes to learning and consistently polite behaviour. Pupils are described as fully engaged in school life and eager to learn.
The report highlights the engaging learning experiences on offer at Ysgol Bodafon, which makes excellent use of the local context. Pupils take pride in celebrating Welsh culture and use the Welsh Language enthusiastically in everyday situations. Most pupils develop secure literacy and numeracy skills, writing confidently and solving increasingly complex number problems.

Janet Finch-Saunders, Senedd Member for Aberconwy and former governor at Ysgol Bodafon said:
“Ysgol Bodafon is a school with a real sense of care and community. Having served as a governor, and with both of my children being former pupils, I have seen firsthand the dedication of the staff and the supportive environment they create for pupils every day.
This recognition reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing confident, happy learners. With its inclusive ethos, celebration of Welsh culture and focus on wellbeing, Ysgol Bodafon continues to provide a positive and developmental learning environment for children and families across the community.”
