Janet Finch-Saunders MS has backed calls for action following a public meeting held in the Emmanuel Centre in Llandudno on Thursday 16th July, involving residents, community representatives and North Wales Police, to discuss concerns around vandalism and anti-social behaviour in Llandudno.
The meeting provided an opportunity for residents and local representatives to raise concerns about ongoing issues around Llandudno Town Hall and certain streets in the Gogarth ward. Residents have highlighted the impact of vandalism, damage to property and anti-social behaviour on the local community, with concerns that more needs to be done to address these problems.
Janet Finch-Saunders, Senedd Member for Bangor Conwy Môn said:
“I welcome the opportunity for residents and partner organisations to come together and discuss the concerns being experienced by parts of the Llandudno community.
The reports of vandalism and anti-social behaviour affecting the town are deeply concerning. Residents should be able to feel safe in their communities, and local businesses and visitors should not have to deal with the disruption caused by this type of behaviour.
It is clear that something needs to be done to address these issues around Llandudno. Tackling anti-social behaviour requires a joined-up approach between North Wales Police, local representatives, community organisations and residents, and I will continue to support efforts to ensure these concerns are listened to and acted upon.”
