Anger over Road Access to Llandudno / Dicter ynghylch mynediad ffyrdd i Landudno

Llandudno

Conwy County Borough Council has been criticised for allowing a situation to arise where Llandudno has been reduced to only one principal access road free of disruption.

There are three principal highways leading in and out of Llandudno:

-          A470 – no road works

-          A546 – closed in Deganwy

-          B5115 – temporary traffic lights by the Lifeboat Station

Commenting on access to Llandudno, Janet said:

“At a time when the A546 is closed and more are travelling to and from the town on the A470 and B5115, it appears as seriously poor decision making to allow temporary traffic lights to be put on the B5115.

“This morning, drivers were queuing to the Lifeboat Station from the top of the Little Orme on the B5115, and from Black Cat to Marl Hall on the A470.

“When one of the three main roads into town closes, there is increased traffic on the other two. The Local Authority and Trunk Road Agency know this, and as such, should ensure that there is no planned obstruction on the two other routes”.

Mae Aelod o'r Senedd wedi beirniadu Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy yn hallt am ganiatáu i sefyllfa godi lle mai dim ond un ffordd fynediad i Landudno sy'n gwbl ddirwystr ar hyn o bryd.

Mae tair prif ffordd yn arwain i mewn ac allan o Landudno:

-          A470 – dim gwaith ffordd

-          A546 – ar gau yn Neganwy

-          B5115 – goleuadau traffig dros dro ger yr Orsaf Bad Achub

Wrth sôn am fynediad i Landudno, dywedodd Janet:

“Ar adeg pan fo'r A546 ar gau a mwy yn teithio i'r dref ac oddi yno ar yr A470 a'r B5115, mae'r penderfyniad  i osod goleuadau traffig dros dro ar y B5115 yn ymddangos yn benderfyniad gwael ar y naw.

“Y bore 'ma, roedd gyrwyr yn ciwio i'r Orsaf Bad Achub o ben y Gogarth ar y B5115, ac o'r Black Cat i Marl Hall ar yr A470.

“Pan fydd un o'r tair prif ffordd i mewn i'r dref yn cau, mae mwy o draffig ar y ddwy arall. Mae'r Awdurdod Lleol a'r Asiantaeth Cefnffyrdd yn gwybod hyn, felly dylen nhw sicrhau nad oes unrhyw rwystr wedi'i gynllunio ar y ddau lwybr arall”.
