Llandudno has become North Wales’ first Purple Flag destination and has been rightly recognised as a world-class place that offers a high-quality evening and night-time experience.
Janet Finch-Saunders, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Bangor Conwy Môn, has welcomed this well-deserved achievement for the area, commenting:
“Llandudno is the Queen of Welsh Resorts and has so much to offer both residents and visitors alike. From the world-famous historic Llandudno Pier to our wonderful hotels and restaurants, there is truly something for everyone.
“Being the first Purple Flag destination in North Wales, and the third in the whole of Wales, is an incredible achievement and speaks volumes about our hardworking tourism and hospitality sector. It is these businesses and our small businesses that really add to the character of the area.

“I would like to congratulate everyone who made this recognition possible and give special recognition to the Purple Flag Working Group, who put significant effort into making this possible.”
