Janet Finch-Saunders MS has welcomed the opening of Parkland Place Llandudno, a new specialist hospital providing detoxification and residential rehabilitation services for people affected by substance use.
Operated by Adferiad, the new 40-bed facility represents a significant investment in recovery services in North Wales. The hospital has created 70 high-quality jobs, including at least 30 new roles local to Llandudno, and will enable Adferiad to support more people than was previously possible.
Janet Finch-Saunders, Senedd Member for Bangor Conwy Môn said:
“It was a real pleasure to recently attend Adferiad’s 50th anniversary celebrations at Parkland Place Llandudno and see first-hand the impressive vision they have for this new project. This is a significant investment in North Wales and one that will make a real difference to people seeking specialist support on their recovery journey. I would like to congratulate Adferiad on the opening of the hospital and on the important work they continue to do across our communities.
The creation of 70 high-quality jobs, alongside a purpose-built facility dedicated to helping people overcome addiction, is a welcome boost for both Llandudno and the wider region.
As pressures on mental health and addiction services grow, I hope opportunities can be explored in the future to strengthen links with local healthcare services and consider how this excellent facility might support even more people within our community. I look forward to seeing the positive impact Parkland Place will have in the years ahead.”
