Following the 7 May Senedd election, Janet Finch-Saunders MS, along with Rhun ap Iorwerth MS, Helen Jenner MS, Mair Rowlands MS, Elfed Williams MS, and John Clark MS, were elected to represent the residents of Bangor, Conwy and Môn.

Upon being re-elected, Janet commented:

“First of all, I would like to thank all of the residents of Bangor, Conwy and Môn for putting your trust in me to serve you as your Member of the Senedd over the next four years. I will ensure that your voices are firmly heard in the Senedd and will take immediate action to address any concerns or challenges that you face.

“I will also be holding the Welsh Plaid Government, and my fellow elected Members for the area, to account to ensure that they deliver for the needs of our local residents.

“This has been the tenth election that I have fought and won. Over the last thirty-one years, I have always taken responsibility and held elected officials to account.

“Under the last Labour Welsh Government, which was supported by Plaid Cymru, we saw corridor care, a lack of hospital beds, long treatment waiting lists, and poor PISA results. This cannot be allowed to continue.

“I will ensure that these issues are raised in the Senedd and with the relevant Minister, and I will continue until action is taken.

“Thank you again for putting your trust in me. I will not let you down.”
