Last week, the Prince of Wales visited areas along the North Wales coast, including Llandudno, Mochdre, and Colwyn Bay, as part of his ongoing efforts to inspire younger generations.

During his visit, he spent time at a youth club in Mochdre, explored marine conservation work on the beach at Colwyn Bay, and visited Mostyn, the contemporary arts centre in Llandudno, where he took part in a comedy workshop.

Janet commented:

“I was delighted to hear about the Prince of Wales’s visit to North Wales last week. His engagements across Mochdre, Colwyn Bay, and Llandudno shine a well‑needed spotlight on the inspiring work happening in our communities, from youth clubs supporting young people to innovative marine conservation projects along our coast. Initiatives like these are vital in giving our younger generations the confidence, skills, and opportunities to thrive.

It was also wonderful to see the arts celebrated during his visit at Mostyn, the centre for contemporary arts in Llandudno, where he joined in a comedy workshop. Supporting creative industries and local cultural organisations is key to building vibrant communities across Aberconwy and the wider region. I hope this visit encourages even more young people to get involved in their communities, explore their talents, and take pride in all that North Wales has to offer.”

Yr wythnos diwethaf, ymwelodd Tywysog Cymru ag ardaloedd ar hyd arfordir y Gogledd, gan gynnwys Llandudno, Mochdre a Bae Colwyn, fel rhan o'i ymdrechion parhaus i ysbrydoli cenedlaethau iau.

Yn ystod ei ymweliad, treuliodd amser mewn clwb ieuenctid ym Mochdre, archwiliodd waith cadwraeth morol ar y traeth ym Mae Colwyn ac ymwelodd â Mostyn, y ganolfan celfyddydau cyfoes yn Llandudno, lle cymerodd ran mewn gweithdy comedi.

Meddai Janet:

"Roeddwn i’n falch iawn o glywed am ymweliad Tywysog Cymru â’r Gogledd yr wythnos diwethaf. Mae ei ymweliadau ar draws Mochdre, Bae Colwyn a Llandudno yn taflu goleuni ar y gwaith ysbrydoledig sy'n cael ei wneud yn ein cymunedau, o glybiau ieuenctid sy'n cefnogi pobl ifanc i brosiectau cadwraeth morol arloesol ar hyd ein harfordir. Mae mentrau fel hyn yn hanfodol o ran rhoi'r hyder, y sgiliau a'r cyfleoedd i'n cenedlaethau iau ffynnu.

Roedd hi hefyd yn hyfryd gweld y celfyddydau yn cael eu dathlu yn ystod ei ymweliad â Mostyn yn Llandudno, lle cymerodd ran mewn gweithdy comedi. Mae cefnogi diwydiannau creadigol a sefydliadau diwylliannol lleol yn allweddol i adeiladu cymunedau bywiog ar draws Aberconwy a'r rhanbarth ehangach. Rwy'n gobeithio y bydd yr ymweliad hwn yn annog hyd yn oed mwy o bobl ifanc i gymryd rhan yn eu cymunedau, archwilio eu doniau ac ymfalchïo ym mhopeth sydd gan y Gogledd i'w gynnig."
