GoSafe is the Wales Road Casualty Reduction Partnership. Its overall aim is to make people safer on Welsh roads by reducing casualties and saving lives. However, the organisation has come under fire for its poor standard of communication.
Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has been working with residents in Ty’n-y-Groes to try to secure measures to improve road safety. This includes GoSafe undertaking a survey, but months after the pledge, nothing appears to have happened. The organisation is reportedly not responding to correspondence.
Commenting on the lack of communication, Janet said:
“GoSafe has the vital role of saving lives, but where residents are raising concerns, their management of those reports is terrible, with some correspondence being ignored for weeks.
“This is unacceptable, and residents have been left waiting months for positive updates.
“I am calling for a review of GoSafe’s management, as responding to residents should always be a priority.”
