Janet Finch-Saunders to head Bangor Conwy Môn seat for the Welsh Conservatives

On Friday 21st March, Janet Finch-Saunders the Member of Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy was selected to top the Welsh Conservative list in Bangor Conwy Môn for the 2026 Senedd election.

Janet has extensive experience of the Welsh Parliament and a great record of achieving positive changes for Aberconwy. As well as a proven track record of promoting Aberconwy and all that the area has to offer to people across Wales and nationally.

Janet is also an active campaigner, who has been dedicated to serving people across the whole of the Bangor Conwy Môn area. 

Commenting on her re-adoption, Janet said:

“It was in Craig-y-Don that I first stood for Llandudno Town Council in 1995, securing a seat and the start of an unbroken 30 year record of being elected.

“I was overwhelmed by such a fabulous result and my grateful thanks to everybody for their amazing loyal support.

“I look forward to the campaign and to continuing my track record of delivering positive change for the people of North West Wales”.

Mae gan Janet brofiad helaeth o’r Senedd a hanes gwych o gyflawni newidiadau cadarnhaol i Aberconwy. Yn ogystal â hanes profedig o hyrwyddo Aberconwy a phopeth sydd gan yr ardal i'w gynnig i bobl ledled Cymru ac yn genedlaethol.

Mae Janet hefyd yn ymgyrchydd gweithgar, sydd wedi ymroi i wasanaethu pobl ymhob cwr o ardal Bangor Conwy Môn.

Wrth sôn am gael ei hail-ddewis, dywedodd Janet:

"Mi wnes i sefyll am y tro cyntaf yng Nghraig-y-Don yn 1995, gan sicrhau sedd a dyna ddechrau ar rediad di-dor o gael fy ethol am 30 mlynedd.

"Cefais fy syfrdanu gan ganlyniad mor wych a diolch i bawb am eu cefnogaeth a’u teyrngarwch anhygoel.

"Edrychaf ymlaen at yr ymgyrch ac at barhau â'm hanes o sicrhau newid cadarnhaol i bobl Gogledd Orllewin Cymru".
