Llandudno

Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy is delighted to hear that Llandudno Town Council has stepped in to save Llandudno’s public toilets from closure.

Following the news that Conwy County Borough Council decided to close nearly half of the public loos across Conwy, it has been announced that more toilets are going to remain open this winter following an offer of sponsorship from Llandudno’s Town Council.

There was cross-party support for the deal which will see the loos stay open until at least the end of the financial year, March 31st.

Commenting on the news Janet said:

“I am thrilled that Llandudno Town Council have stepped in and sponsored the loos, preventing them from having to close.

“This is extremely good news for the people of Llandudno and her visitors. A big thank you to the cross-party support within the Town Council.

“I look forward to hearing about future discussions that will help secure long-term funding for the public loos, ensuring they stay open for years to come.”

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, wrth ei bodd o glywed bod Cyngor Tref Llandudno wedi camu i'r adwy i achub toiledau cyhoeddus Llandudno rhag cau.

Yn dilyn y newyddion bod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy wedi penderfynu cau bron i hanner y toiledau cyhoeddus ar draws Conwy, cyhoeddwyd y bydd mwy o doiledau yn aros ar agor y gaeaf hwn yn dilyn nawdd gan Gyngor Tref Llandudno.

Cafwyd cefnogaeth drawsbleidiol i'r cytundeb a fydd yn gweld y toiledau’n aros ar agor tan ddiwedd y flwyddyn ariannol o leiaf, sef 31 Mawrth.

Wrth sôn am y newyddion dywedodd Janet:

"Rwyf wrth fy modd bod Cyngor Tref Llandudno wedi camu i'r adwy ac wedi noddi'r toiledau, gan eu hatal rhag gorfod cau.

"Mae hyn yn newyddion da iawn i bobl Llandudno a ymwelwyr â’r dref. Diolch yn fawr iawn i'r gefnogaeth drawsbleidiol o fewn y Cyngor Tref.

"Rwy'n edrych ymlaen at glywed am drafodaethau yn y dyfodol a fydd yn helpu i sicrhau cyllid hirdymor i'r toiledau cyhoeddus, gan sicrhau eu bod yn aros ar agor am flynyddoedd i ddod."
