Dolwyddelan Council Praised for Major Community Project / Canmoliaeth i Gyngor Dolwyddelan am Brosiect Cymunedol

Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has praised Cllr Liz Roberts, Cllr Connie Brewer, and Dolwyddelan Community Council on the completion of a major project which has seen an old hearse shed renovated and history shared in the cemetery dating back to 1869 / Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod Senedd Cymru dros Aberconwy, wedi canmol y Cynghorydd Liz Roberts, y Cynghorydd Connie Brewer, a Chyngor Cymuned Dolwyddelan ar gwblhau prosiect sydd wedi gweld hen sied hers yn cael ei hadnewyddu a hanes yn cael ei rannu yn y fynwent sydd yn dyddio’n ôl i 1869.

With funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund, the old hearse shed as been renovated, improvements made to the site, and information panels put in place / Gyda chyllid o'r Gronfa Ffyniant Gyffredin, mae'r hen sied hers wedi'i hadnewyddu, gwelliannau wedi'u gwneud i'r safle, a phaneli gwybodaeth wedi'u gosod.

The memorial building was officially opened by Mr Gwyn Roberts / Agorwyd yr adeilad coffa yn swyddogol gan Mr Gwyn Roberts.

Speaking after attending the official opening, Janet said / Yn siarad ar ôl mynychu’r agoriad swyddogol, dywedodd Janet:

“I would like to congratulate all who have played a part in this wonderful project. Thanks to your tireless efforts the community now has a centre, at the heart of the cemetery, where services can take place and shelter had during bad weather / Hoffwn longyfarch pawb sydd wedi chwarae rhan yn y prosiect gwych hwn. Diolch i'ch ymdrechion diflino mae gan y gymuned ganolfan, yng nghanol y fynwent, lle gellir cynnal gwasanaethau a llochesu yn ystod tywydd garw.

“This multifunctional venue as it also acts as a museum, with fascinating glimpses into the history of Dolwyddelan / Mae’n leoliad amlbwrpas gan ei fod hefyd yn gweithredu fel amgueddfa, gyda chipolwg hynod ddiddorol ar hanes Dolwyddelan.

“I recommend that you visit this site which is full of history and a fine example of what society can achieve when residents pull together / Rwy’n argymell eich bod yn ymweld â’r safle hwn sy’n llawn hanes ac yn enghraifft wych o’r hyn y gall cymdeithas ei gyflawni pan mae trigolion yn cyd-dynnu”.
