On friday, Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy has visited Llandudno Allotments, where she met the Chairman, Phin Eddy.
She was given a tour showcasing the incredible project, which enables people to connect with nature.
The allotments, hosting over 80 plots, are spacious and provide residents with ample opportunities to grow fresh fruits and vegetables or create their own floral displays at a very affordable price. A plot costs £60 for a year, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can get involved.
Following the meeting, Janet said:
“While feeling positive, one can also do good. Llandudno allotments support local charities by donating extra produce to St David's Hospice and local food banks. Supporting these local groups is yet another reason to get involved.
"I was delighted with the variety of produce and floral delights. From courgettes to apples, sunflowers to hydrangeas, the allotment's success is clear, and it encompasses a true community spirit.
"As the Shadow Minister for Climate Change, it is great to see the dedication to protecting our beautiful outdoors across every aspect, such as the use of a composting toilet for members to use.
"I would like to thank the Chairman, Phin Eddy, the Treasurer, Richard, and Jo, Allan, and Lisa for taking the time to give us a tour. I would wholeheartedly recommend that if you are considering an allotment plot, you contact the team."

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o'r Senedd dros Aberconwy, wedi ymweld â Rhandiroedd Llandudno, lle cyfarfu â'r Cadeirydd, Phin Eddy.
Cafodd ei thywys o gwmpas y prosiect anhygoel, sy'n galluogi pobl i gysylltu â natur.
Mae'r rhandiroedd, sy'n gartref i dros 80 o leiniau, yn eang ac yn rhoi digon o gyfleoedd i breswylwyr dyfu ffrwythau a llysiau ffres neu greu eu harddangosiadau blodau eu hunain am bris fforddiadwy iawn. Mae llain yn costio £60 am flwyddyn, £30 am chwe mis, neu £15 am dri mis, gan sicrhau bod pawb yn gallu cymryd rhan, waeth beth fo'u sefyllfa ariannol.
Yn dilyn y cyfarfod, dywedodd Janet:
“Gall rhywun deimlo'n bositif a gwneud gwahaniaeth ar yr un pryd. Mae rhandiroedd Llandudno yn cefnogi elusennau lleol drwy roi cynnyrch ychwanegol i Hosbis Dewi Sant a banciau bwyd lleol. Mae cefnogi'r grwpiau lleol hyn yn rheswm arall dros gymryd rhan.
"Roeddwn i wrth fy modd gyda'r amrywiaeth o ran cynnyrch a blodau. O courgettes i afalau, o flodau haul i hydrangeas, mae llwyddiant y rhandir yn glir, ac mae'n dangos gwir ysbryd cymunedol.
"Hoffwn i ddiolch i'r Cadeirydd, Phin Eddy, y Trysorydd, Richard, a Jo, Allan a Lisa am roi o'u hamser i'n tywys ni o gwmpas. Os ydych chi'n ystyried llain ar randir, byddwn i'n eich argymell i gysylltu â'r tîm."
