Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy is delighted to see that Llandudno has been named in the top 10 of seaside towns for the number of pubs in the town.
A team at OLBG have created the ‘Holiday Entertainment Index’ to profile the best destinations to mark for a visit this summer. The index considers the number of activities per location including amusements, the cost to stay there, average weather patterns, and more, using data from TripAdvisor, Google, and Kayak.
Llandudno was named joint-eighth on the list, with 3.4 pubs per 1,000 people.
Commenting on the news Janet said:
"I am absolutely thrilled that Llandudno has once again been recognised as a premier tourist hotspot in the UK.
“The fact that Llandudno has also been named in the top 10 of seaside towns for the number of pubs is a testament to the hard work of our hospitality sector, who I know work tirelessly to makes sure that our visitors have the very best stay.
“During times as tough as this for the sector it is excellent news to see this recognition. I have myself visited many of the pubs in Llandudno and always delight in their kind welcome, terrific service and delicious local food and drink.
“I hope that everyone continues to have a good summer and I look forward to visiting these fine establishments again soon in the future.”

"Mae'r ffaith bod Llandudno hefyd wedi cael ei henwi ymhlith y 10 uchaf o drefi glan môr am nifer y tafarndai yn dyst i waith caled ein sector lletygarwch. Rydw i’n gwybod eu bod yn gweithio'n ddiflino i sicrhau bod ein hymwelwyr yn cael y gwyliau gorau.
"Ar adegau mor anodd â hyn i'r sector mae'n newyddion gwych gweld y gydnabyddiaeth hon. Rydw i wedi ymweld â llawer o'r tafarndai yn Llandudno ac rydw i bob amser yn falch iawn o'u croeso caredig, gwasanaeth gwych a’r bwyd a diod lleol blasus maen nhw’n ei gynnig.
"Gobeithio y bydd pawb yn parhau i gael haf da ac edrychaf ymlaen at ymweld â'r sefydliadau gwych hyn eto maes o law."
