During Love Parks Week which runs from 28 July to 6 August, Janet Finch-Saunders MS, has taken the opportunity to celebrate organisations that go above and beyond to help preserve communal green spaces in Aberconwy.

The Love Parks campaign celebrates parks, green spaces, and the dedicated volunteers and workers that look after them all year round.

Love Parks week is also an opportunity to investigate some of the issues around our parks, and for members of the public to come forward with ideas on how our green spaces can be improved.

Speaking during Love Parks Week, Janet said:

“I have made a special effort to enjoy some of Aberconwy’s beautiful green spaces this week. I have visited the forest around Betws y Coed and enjoyed the breathtaking setting of Bodafon fields in Craig y Don.

“Our green spaces would not be as glorious as they are today but for forest management teams, farmers, and volunteers.

“Here in Llandudno, the Friends of Queen's Park continue to do an incredible job safeguarding and improving a green space which acts as a living heart of the community.

“And, for example, in Llanrwst, the Town Council’s #LlnauLlanrwst #CleaningCrwst campaign is seeing the community come together almost every month to clear rubbish from verges, playgrounds, and public places.

“We are fortunate that teams of people are going to great lengths to ensure that our green spaces are the best they can be, so I encourage you all to make the most of them by finding time to enjoy a peaceful moment in a park”.

Yn ystod Wythnos Caru Parciau, rhwng 28 Gorffennaf a 6 Awst, mae Janet Finch-Saunders AS wedi manteisio ar y cyfle i ddathlu sefydliadau sy'n mynd yr ail filltir i helpu i warchod mannau gwyrdd cymunedol yn Aberconwy.

Mae'r ymgyrch Caru Parciau yn dathlu parciau, mannau gwyrdd, a'r gwirfoddolwyr a'r gweithwyr ymroddedig sy'n gofalu amdanyn nhw gydol y flwyddyn.

Mae Wythnos Caru Parciau hefyd yn gyfle i ymchwilio i rai o'r materion sy'n ymwneud â'n parciau, ac i aelodau'r cyhoedd gyflwyno syniadau ar sut y gellir gwella ein mannau gwyrdd.

Wrth siarad yn ystod Wythnos Caru Parciau, dywedodd Janet:

"Dwi wedi gwneud ymdrech arbennig i fwynhau rhai o fannau gwyrdd hardd Aberconwy yr wythnos hon. Dwi wedi ymweld â'r goedwig o amgylch Betws-y-coed ac wedi mwynhau lleoliad godidog caeau Bodafon yng Nghraig y Don.

"Fyddai ein mannau gwyrdd ddim mor ogoneddus ag y maen nhw heddiw, oni bai am ein timau rheoli coedwigoedd, ffermwyr a gwirfoddolwyr.

"Yma yn Llandudno, mae Cyfeillion Parc y Frenhines yn parhau i wneud gwaith anhygoel yn diogelu a gwella man gwyrdd sy'n gweithredu fel calon fyw i'r gymuned.

"Ac, er enghraifft, yn Llanrwst, mae ymgyrch #LlnauLlanrwst #CleaningCrwst y Cyngor Tref yn gweld y gymuned yn dod ynghyd bron bob mis i glirio sbwriel o lwyni, meysydd chwarae a mannau cyhoeddus.

"Rydyn ni'n ffodus bod timau o bobl yn mynd i drafferth fawr i sicrhau bod ein mannau gwyrdd ar eu gorau, felly dwi’n eich annog chi i gyd i wneud yn fawr ohonyn nhw trwy ddod o hyd i’r amser i fwynhau eiliad o lonyddwch yn un o’n parciau.”
