North Shore Beach

Over 6,000 people have now signed the petition calling for the Welsh Government to fund both the removal of quarry rocks and the restoration of sand and groynes to Llandudno North Shore beach.

In order for the petition to be considered for debate in the Welsh Parliament, 10,000 signatures are needed. The petition is currently on 6,015.

You can sign the petition here.

Janet Finch-Saunders MS is working with Cllr. Ian Turner and residents to help restore sand to North Shore beach.

Speaking about the petition, Janet said:

“We are now over halfway to securing the 10,000 signatures needed to help us restore our beach to its former glory.

“The beach being made up of boulders is dangerous, and they need to be replaced by sand. Previously, there were fantastic sandcastle competitions, and the beach could be enjoyed by all. This is no longer the case.

“Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have our beach become usable to all once again, and for one of the UK’s leading destinations to have a beautiful, sandy beach?

“Please support our beach by signing the online petition.”

Mae dros 6,000 o bobl bellach wedi llofnodi’r ddeiseb yn galw ar Lywodraeth Cymru i ariannu symud creigiau chwarel ac adfer tywod a grwynau ar Draeth y Gogledd Llandudno.

Er mwyn i'r ddeiseb gael ei hystyried ar gyfer dadl yn y Senedd, mae angen 10,000 o lofnodion. Mae 6,015 wedi llofnodi’r ddeiseb ar hyn o bryd.

Gallwch lofnodi’r ddeiseb yma.

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders AS yn gweithio gyda'r Cynghorydd Ian Turner a phreswylwyr er mwyn helpu i adfer tywod i Draeth y Gogledd.

Wrth siarad am y ddeiseb, dywedodd Janet:

"Rydyn ni bellach dros hanner ffordd i sicrhau'r 10,000 o lofnodion sydd eu hangen i'n helpu i adfer ein traeth i'w hen ogoniant.

"Mae’r traeth wedi’i wneud o glogfeini sy’n beryglus, ac mae angen tywod yn eu lle. Ers talwm, roedd cystadlaethau cestyll tywod gwych, a gallai pawb fwynhau'r traeth. Dyw hyn ddim yn wir bellach.

"Oni fyddai'n wych pe bai pawb yn gallu defnyddio’r traeth unwaith eto, ac i un o gyrchfannau mwyaf blaenllaw y DU gael traeth tywodlyd hardd?

"Cefnogwch ein traeth drwy lofnodi’r ddeiseb ar-lein."
