Tir a Môr restaurant and takeaway in Llanrwst has been praised for the invaluable contribution it makes to the local community.

During a visit to the restaurant which has won praise for being more "swish and chips" than fish and chips, Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, learnt how the husband and wife team, Wyn and Paula Williams, go above and beyond to put the local community first.

Commenting after her visit, Janet said:

“It was a pleasure catching up with Wyn, and learning of the excellent impact he and the family business is having on the community.

“Wyn is a fantastic businessman who is succeeding to see his fish and chip shop support Llanrwst and the surrounding area.

“Alongside providing good jobs to locals, and backing local food producers, I was impressed to hear of the goats cheese pizza fundraiser which saw Tir a Môr donate a pound from the sale of every goats cheese pizza, to help local charity St David’s Hospice.

“Importantly, the excellent quality of the food produced, the friendly service, and stunning surroundings is not only being enjoyed by locals, but seeing people make a special visit to Llanrwst.

“Wyn, Paula, their family and team should be proud that their business is making Llanrwst and Aberconwy a better place”.

Mae busnes Tir a Môr, bwyty a thecawê yn Llanrwst, wedi’i ganmol am ei gyfraniad amhrisiadwy i’r gymuned leol.

Ar ymweliad â’r bwyty sydd wedi’i ganmol am gynnig rhywbeth ychydig mwy arbennig na'ch sgod a sglods cyffredin, clywodd Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, sut mae Wyn a Paula Williams, y pâr priod wrth y llyw, yn mynd yr ail filltir i roi'r gymuned leol yn gyntaf.

Wrth sôn am ei hymweliad, dywedodd Janet:

"Roedd hi'n bleser cael sgwrsio gydag Wyn, a dysgu am yr effaith ardderchog y mae e a busnes y teulu yn ei chael ar y gymuned.

"Mae Wyn yn ddyn busnes arbennig sy'n llwyddo i weld ei siop pysgod a sglodion yn cefnogi Llanrwst a'r cylch.

"Law yn llaw â darparu swyddi da i bobl leol, a chefnogi cynhyrchwyr bwyd lleol, da oedd clywed am ei fenter codi arian a welodd Tir a Môr yn rhoi punt o werthiant pob pizza caws gafr i helpu’r elusen leol, Hosbis Dewi Sant.

"At hynny, mae ansawdd ardderchog y bwyd a gynhyrchir, y gwasanaeth cyfeillgar, a'r lleoliad bendigedig nid yn unig yn cael ei fwynhau gan bobl leol, ond yn denu pobl ar ymweliad arbennig â Llanrwst.

"Dylai Wyn, Paula, eu teulu a'u tîm fod yn falch bod eu busnes yn gwneud Llanrwst ac Aberconwy yn lle gwell".
