At a time when the residents of Aberconwy, Wales and the world are mourning the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Janet Finch-Saunders MS/AS has expressed her thanks to Conwy County Borough Council for creating an opportunity for residents to lay floral tributes to Her Majesty.
Should you like to lay a tribute please take your flowers to the designated garden at Bodlondeb, Conwy.
Encouraging residents to participate, Janet said:
“Floral Tribute, the recently published poem by the Poet Laureate rightly highlighted Our Queen’s love for flowers, especially Lily of the Valley.
“For a Monarch who did so much to support rural communities here in Wales and so very clearly enjoyed nature and the outdoors, it would be most fitting for us all to pay our respects by laying flowers in Bodlondeb.
“I hope to make a personal tribute before the funeral on Monday.”

Ar adeg pan mae trigolion Aberconwy, Cymru a'r byd yn galaru am golli Ei Mawrhydi y Frenhines Elizabeth II, mae Janet Finch-Saunders AS wedi diolch i Gyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy am greu cyfle i drigolion osod teyrngedau blodeuog i'w Mawrhydi.
Os hoffech adael teyrnged, ewch â'ch blodau i Fodlondeb, Conwy.
Wrth annog y trigolion i gymryd rhan, dywedodd Janet:
“Fe wnaeth Floral Tribute, y gerdd a gyhoeddwyd yn ddiweddar gan y Bardd Llawryfog, dynnu sylw at gariad Ein Brenhines at flodau, yn enwedig lili'r dyffrynnoedd.
“I frenhines a wnaeth gymaint i gefnogi cymunedau gwledig yma yng Nghymru ac a oedd yn amlwg wrth ei bodd ym myd natur a'r awyr agored, y peth mwyaf addas fyddai inni i gyd dalu teyrnged drwy osod blodau ym Modlondeb.
“Dwi'n gobeithio gwneud teyrnged bersonol cyn yr angladd ddydd Llun.”
