Marking Air Ambulance Week 2021, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders MS, has praised the “hard-work and dedication” of the individuals involved in the running of the Wales Air Ambulance Charity. The UK-wide initiative takes place between the 6th and 12th September 2021 and provides an opportunity to promote the lifesaving work within the areas that they operate.

Celebrating the work of the Welsh Air Ambulance, Janet said:

“The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provide an essential free, life-saving helicopter emergency medical service for the critically ill and injured in Wales. That their team is capable of reaching a critically ill patient anywhere in Wales within 20 minutes of receiving a call is a testament to their hard work and dedication.

“With the advanced emergency-department standard care that the crews deliver at the scene of an incident, and the rapid transfer of patients to specialist medical care across Wales, it can perhaps be all to easy to forget that this is a charitable organisation reliant on the support of the public.

“In marking Air Ambulance Week 2021, I wish to underline my wholehearted thanks to the crews, fundraisers and volunteers who make this essential medical work possible. To residents across Aberconwy, I also encourage you to find out more about their work and investigate how you can come to support the cause.”
