As pupils across the constituency receive their much awaited GCSE results today, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy – Janet Finch-Saunders MS – has extended her ‘wholehearted congratulations’ to students, their families and the region’s teaching staff. The grades come in a second year of exams disrupted by the pandemic.
Speaking of her pride, Janet said:
“I extend my wholehearted congratulations to every student who has picked up their GCSE results today, after another challenging year in which exams and normal teaching methods have been disrupted by the pandemic. Your hard work and commitment to your subjects has certainly paid dividends.
“I know that every loving family member and teacher across Aberconwy will share in my belief that each and every student should be immensely proud of their remarkable achievements. Our thanks should also go to our families who have provided such essential support over these past few months.
“The dedication of our schools and teaching staff throughout this period has not gone unnoticed, rapidly adapting their methods of teaching to ensure that no student was left behind. Your devotion to your vocation will afford so many opportunities to our students going forward.”
