In response to increasing concerns about the proposed development on Bodafon Fields, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy – Janet Finch-Saunders MS – has announced a virtual public meeting with stakeholders to be held on Friday 28 May 2021 at 16:30.

It is hoped that the virtual meeting will be an opportunity to put questions to officials from SATPLAN Ltd. and Anwyl, who are involved in the application. Among the other stakeholders present will be representatives from Ysgol y Gogarth, Ysgol Bodafon, Conwy County Borough Council, and Llandudno Town Council.

Commenting ahead of her meeting, Janet said:

“There is a need for an urgent and open forum on this proposal as it is already causing considerable concern among residents, including over the loss of agricultural land, further digging into the historic natural boundary between Craig Y Don and Craigside, parking, and traffic.

“Indeed, with  Nant-y-Gamar Road providing access to both Ysgol y Gogarth and onwards to  Ysgol Bodafon, the highways are already subjected to heavy traffic and congestion.

“With parents already expressing concern about their own safety when trying to cross the highway, it is crucial that the anxieties of these important stakeholders are heard.

“In continuing to realise my commitment to transparency, and having already received a large volume of correspondence on the issue, I am pleased to be holding this virtual public meeting on Friday 28 May. I would encourage residents to join us so that all views can be heard.”
