Following the announcement by the First Minister last week of the plans to establish a Sub Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Centre in North Wales, Janet Finch-Saunders AM has raised the importance of transparency in all aspects of determining the site location.
In questioning the Minister for Health and Social Services, the Assembly Member said: “It is vital that any decisions regarding consultation, location and construction of the new Centre, are completely open for scrutiny. In the past, service reviews across the Health Board have lacked that openness.
“The Welsh Government must clearly outline how they will engage with stakeholders in North Wales, and the criteria on which a final decision will be based.”
