Store opening

An exciting new expedition got underway at Conwy Marina quayside last Friday as the locally-renowned Mulberry store opened its doors following its recent refurbishment.

Assembly Member, Janet Finch-Saunders AM, was pleased to lend her support, opening the premises and learning what new ventures are in the offing.

Janet said:

“I am honoured to join in the opening of this flagship store! The Mulberry has a well-established reputation for offering the finest Welsh hospitality.

“I am delighted to see the store experiment with its already successful business model, to include a gallery and nautical merchandise, celebrating the many talents of our local artists.

“There has evidently been a terrific amount of hard work involved in the Mulberry’s redevelopment and their approach is a fantastic example of the enterprising spirit which forms the foundation of successful business.

“I am proud to see yet another local business demonstrate this level of entrepreneurship and enhance the region’s reputation as a first-rate tourist destination, and I would encourage anybody to pay a visit to the store.

“Moving forward, I am looking forward to working together with owner, Liz Malone, on a collaborative community project exploring the history of the local area.

“The project will be examining the visionary engineering approaches underpinning the construction of local landmarks, from the Conwy tunnel through to the commendably successful Conwy Marina itself. I am looking forward to getting all hands on deck and would encourage anybody interested in the project to contact me directly.”
