Following the announcement that the developers have launched an appeal against the refusal of the planning application to build 110 homes off Marl Lane, Deganwy, Janet Finch-Saunders AM has confirmed that she will continue in opposition to this.
Janet said:
“This application was controversial from the start, with tens of hundreds of people voicing their opposition to it and submitting their objections.
“The unduly heavy weighting placed by Conwy County Borough Council officers on housing figures under TAN1 threatens other aspects of Welsh Government guidance relating to the historic environment, conservation and flood risks.
“I am extremely concerned to see this being taken to appeal, and will continue to voice my objections in the strongest possible terms.
“I shall be making representation at the inquiry hearing, and encourage all those who feel strongly about this application to make their voices heard to the Planning Inspectorate.”
