Key benefits of learning are being highlighted by local AM Janet Finch-Saunders ahead of Adult Learners’ Week, which takes place between 19th and 25th June 2017. The Welsh Conservative Older People’s Champion, Janet Finch-Saunders AM, is leading calls to encourage adults to learn something new and take a step to tackle loneliness.
The Assembly Member for Aberconwy said:
“Learning enables us all to develop new skills and abilities and is a fantastic way to meet others.
“Free Adult Learners’ Week events in Aberconwy include crochet classes, playing a guitar, and creating your own graphic novel. You could also consider joining a local choir, or possibly a language class.
“75,000 older people in Wales have reported always or often feeling lonely, so I encourage you all to make a special effort to go out and attend one of the free events across my constituency”.
