A retired businessman who received a £35 fixed penalty from Conwy County Borough Council for parking within 10 metres of a junction, even though he is a blue badge holder, took the case to a Traffic Penalty Tribunal and won his appeal.
Conwy council started enforcing the rule against blue badge holders on May 1. It has now suspended this enforcement and is seeking legal advice.

Following this news, the Assembly Member for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders AM, wrote to Conwy County Borough Council to enquire as to how they were taking this matter forward.
