Cllr Janet Finch-Saunders AM has today welcomed the Chancellor’s Budget announcement that a reduced rate of VAT of 5 per cent will apply to the Llandudno Cable Car. Janet said:
“This is excellent news, as a reduced rate of VAT of 5 per cent on small cable operated transport systems, constitutes a positive step in easing the financial burden faced by businesses like the Llandudno Cable Car.
“The Llandudno Cable Car is an outstanding attraction, that captures some of the finest scenery that the UK has to offer, and as such I am pleased that the Chancellor has recognised the important contribution that it makes to tourism in the region.
“Accordingly, I welcome the Chancellors Budget statement as being beneficial for Wales and believe it illustrates his commitment to putting the Welsh economy back on track.”
