Tŷ Gobaith is a children’s hospice that gives every local child with a life-threatening condition, and their family, access to professional care and improves their quality of life from the point of diagnosis.
Janet Finch-Saunders, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, visited Tŷ Gobaith on Friday and commented:
“Tŷ Gobaith Hospice is a beautiful haven of peace for the children there, with wonderful staff providing an excellent standard of end-of-life care, which was overwhelmingly moving.
“It offers young patients and their families the kindest, supported respite care, as well as access to a multi-sensory room, a young adult lounge, a playroom, therapy room, parents’ lounge and an outdoor playground. There is also the Snowflake Suite, which enables families to stay close to their child after they have died and before the funeral.
“I wish to thank Angharad and the whole team for their first-class treatment and care for those needing this unique and specialist service. I am incredibly proud of them all.”
