Janet Finch-Saunders MS has visited an RAF exhibition commemorating Wales’s role in the Battle of Britain..

Commenting after the tour Janet said:

“The Battle of Britain is one of the most infamous periods of the Second World War and the RAF victory secured Britain’s freedom. As we approach the anniversary it was fantastic to attend this RAF exhibition celebrating the Wales’s role in this pivotal moment.

“I was delighted to meet with Squadron Leader John Dunn at the Holy Trinity Church to be given a tour of the marvellous exhibition along with my Senedd colleague Darren Millar MS, Deputy Mayor, Cllr Greg Robbins and County Councillors Cllr Angie O’Grady & Tom Montgomery.

“Squadron Leader John Dunn explained how he has been tasked with bringing this incredibly informative exhibition right across Wales. His passion and knowledge of this conflict were clear, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank and commend him and the RAF for undertaking this task, providing residents across Wales the opportunity to learn about Wales’s important role in the Battle of Britain.

“With the exhibition due to move on from the Holy trinity Church in Llandudno tomorrow afternoon I would encourage any resident that hasn’t been to go and visit this free to enter exhibition.”

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders AS wedi ymweld ag arddangosfa’r Awyrlu Brenhinol yn coffáu rôl Cymru ym Mrwydr Prydain.

Gan roi ei sylwadau ar y daith, dywedodd Janet:

“Brwydr Prydain yw un o’r cyfnodau enwocaf yn yr Ail Ryfel Byd wrth i fuddugoliaeth yr Awyrlu Brenhinol sicrhau rhyddid Prydain. Wrth i ni nodi’r dyddiad, roedd hi’n braf iawn cael y cyfle i fynychu  arddangosfa’r Awyrlu gan ddathlu rôl Cymru ar yr adeg dyngedfennol hon.

“Roeddwn i ar ben fy nigon yn cael cyfarfod â’r Arweinydd Sgwadron John Dunn yn Eglwys y Drindod Sanctaidd i gael taith o gwmpas yr arddangosfa ragorol gyda’m cydweithiwr yn y Senedd Darren Millar AS, y Dirprwy Faer, y Cynghorydd Greg Robbins a’r Cynghorwyr Sir Angie O’Grady a Tom Montgomery.

“Eglurodd yr Arweinydd Sgwadron John Dunn sut mae wedi cael y dasg o ddod â’r arddangosfa hynod ddifyr hon i bob rhan o Gymru. Roedd ei angerdd a’i wybodaeth am y gwrthdaro yn amlwg, a hoffwn fanteisio ar y cyfle hwn i ddiolch iddo a’i ganmol ef a’r RAF am fynd i’r afael â’r dasg hon, gan gynnig y cyfle i breswylwyr ledled Cymru ddysgu am rôl bwysig Cymru ym Mrwydr Prydain.

“Gyda’r arddangosfa ar fin symud ymlaen o Eglwys y Drindod Sanctaidd yn Llandudno yfory, byddwn yn annog unrhyw un sydd heb fod yno i ymweld ar unwaith â’r arddangosfa am ddim hon.”
