Blessed William Davies Primary School is a fantastic school, well known for creating a strong sense of belonging for its pupils, the happiness of its students, its engaging curriculum, and its incredible teaching staff.

The school’s impressive curriculum is centred around strong values and beliefs, providing many beneficial opportunities for pupils to develop their skills, confidence, and creativity.

Janet Finch-Saunders, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, was delighted to visit Blessed William Davies Primary School and learn about all the wonderful work the pupils do, as well as the hard work and dedication of the teaching staff.

Commenting on her visit to Blessed William Davies, Janet said:

“I would like to thank Headteacher Lucy Phillips and Chair of Governors Peter McGlory for their kind welcome and for showing me around the school. I would also like to thank all the hardworking teachers and members of staff for their dedication and effort, which has made the school such a happy and engaging place for pupils to learn.

“The brilliant curriculum enables each pupil to expand their knowledge and deepen their questioning, all while being supported. This fosters a wonderful attitude toward learning, which will benefit each pupil as they progress through their academic lives. I was particularly interested in the teaching that they undertake on Windrush.

“I would also like to acknowledge the work undertaken by the school’s senior leaders and governors, who effectively monitor attendance rates and ensure strong relationships between the school, parents, and the wider community.”

Mae Ysgol Gynradd Gatholig y Bendigaid William Davies yn ysgol wych sy'n adnabyddus am greu ymdeimlad cryf o berthyn i'w disgyblion, hapusrwydd ei myfyrwyr, ei chwricwlwm diddorol a'i staff addysgu anhygoel.

Mae cwricwlwm trawiadol yr ysgol yn canolbwyntio ar werthoedd a chredoau cryf, gan ddarparu llawer o gyfleoedd buddiol i ddisgyblion ddatblygu eu sgiliau, eu hyder a'u creadigrwydd.

Roedd Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, yn falch iawn o ymweld ag Ysgol Gynradd Gatholig y Bendigaid William Davies a dysgu am yr holl waith gwych mae'r disgyblion yn ei wneud, yn ogystal â gwaith caled ac ymroddiad y staff addysgu.

Yn dilyn ei hymweliad â'r Ysgol, dywedodd Janet:

"Hoffwn ddiolch i'r Pennaeth Lucy Phillips a Chadeirydd y Llywodraethwyr Peter McGlory am eu croeso cynnes ac am fy nhywys o gwmpas yr ysgol. Hoffwn hefyd ddiolch i'r holl athrawon ac aelodau staff gweithgar am eu hymroddiad a'u hymdrech, sydd wedi gwneud yr ysgol yn lle mor hapus a diddorol i ddisgyblion ddysgu.

"Mae'r cwricwlwm gwych yn galluogi pob disgybl i ehangu ei wybodaeth a dyfnhau ei gwestiynau, i gyd gyda chefnogaeth. Mae hyn yn meithrin agwedd wych tuag at ddysgu, a fydd o fudd i bob disgybl wrth iddyn nhw symud ymlaen trwy eu bywydau academaidd. Roedd gen i ddiddordeb arbennig yn yr addysgu maen nhw’n ei wneud ar Windrush.

"Hoffwn hefyd gydnabod gwaith uwch arweinwyr a llywodraethwyr yr ysgol, sy'n monitro cyfraddau presenoldeb yn effeithiol ac yn sicrhau perthynas gref rhwng yr ysgol, rhieni a'r gymuned ehangach."
