Llandudno Pier has won the prestigious Pier of the Year award for 2025. This is an excellent achievement for the historic attraction, that delt with significant damage caused by Storm Darragh.

It has been 20 years since Llandudno Pier last held the position. The pier attracts thousands of visitors each day, which provides them with a fun day out in our wonderful town.

The significant effort it takes to keep up with the day-to-day maintenance and running of the pier should also be acknowledged.

Janet Finch-Saunders, the Member of Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, congratulated Adam Williams on this fantastic achievement, as well thanking him and all of the team for all of the dedication and hard work that he has put into strengthening the pier and supporting the local area.

Commenting on Llandudno being named Pier of the Year Janet said:

“My congratulations goes to Adam Williams and everyone at Llandudno Pier for this amazing achievement. The pier is one of our greatest attractions.

“I would also like to thank Adam for the incredible contribution that he makes to our local area, by employing locals, as well as supporting local communities and charities. For example, look at the invaluable contribution the team make to our annual firework display.

“Llandudno is rightly known as the Queen of Welsh resorts, and as such, we can  regard the pier as the jewel in the crown.”

Mae Pier Llandudno wedi ennill gwobr fawreddog Pier y Flwyddyn 2025. Camp aruthrol gan yr atyniad hanesyddol, a gafodd ei ddifrodi’n sylweddol gan Storm Darragh.

Mae wedi bod yn 20 mlynedd ers i Bier Llandudno ddod i’r brig ddiwethaf. Mae'r pier yn denu miloedd o ymwelwyr bob dydd, ac mae’n rhan o ddiwrnod hwyliog yn ein tref hyfryd.

Dylid cydnabod yr ymdrech sylweddol sydd ei angen i wneud yr holl waith cynnal a chadw a rhedeg y pier o ddydd i ddydd.

Llongyfarchodd Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, Adam Williams ar y gamp wych hon, gan ddiolch iddo ef a'r holl dîm am yr holl ymroddiad a'r gwaith caled sydd wedi mynd i atgyfnerthu’r pier a chefnogi'r ardal leol.

Wrth sôn am enwi Pier Llandudno yn Bier y Flwyddyn, dywedodd Janet:

"Llongyfarchiadau i Adam Williams a phawb yn Pier Llandudno am y gamp anhygoel hon. Y pier yw un o'n hatyniadau mwyaf.

"Hoffwn hefyd ddiolch i Adam am y cyfraniad anhygoel y mae'n ei wneud i'n hardal leol, trwy gyflogi pobl leol, yn ogystal â chefnogi cymunedau lleol ac elusennau. Er enghraifft, mae’r tîm yn gwneud cyfraniad amhrisiadwy i'n harddangosfa tân gwyllt flynyddol.

"Mae Llandudno yn cael ei hadnabod yn haeddiannol fel Brenhines cyrchfannau gwyliau Cymru, ac felly, gallwn ystyried y pier fel brif drysor y goron.”
