Telfords

Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy was delighted to visit the Telfords Bistro in Conwy last Friday.

A seafood restaurant located in the historic town of Conwy, the Bistro opened in 2023 by Christian Whittleworth and Douglas Langton.

With 90% of its menu being fish there is a diverse range of offerings with colourful ingredients and vibrant colours using the very best fresh local ingredients.

Head chef Matthew Vaughan Jones is a former British Army chef and was extremely successful in culinary competitions while serving around the world.

Commenting on the visit Janet said:

“It was an absolute pleasure to visit Telfords Bistro. My thanks to Christian and Douglas for looking after me and for showing me around their incredible business.

“It is always a delight to see new businesses thrive and Telfords Bistro is no exception. Serving up delicious freshly caught fish anyone who loves a bit of food from the sea must pay the place a visit. I was thrilled to see they have both Conwy and Menai mussels on the menu, certainly a favourite of mine!

“The atmosphere in the restaurant is charming and welcoming with a lovely tiled floor giving a comforting relaxing vibe and excellent views of Conwy Castle. Members of their family are also working there so it has a real family run feel.

“Head chef Matthew clearly has years of experience and is putting it to go use, creating incredible dishes for the punters to enjoy.

“With an excellent selection of wine and cocktails, I would encourage anyone who is visiting Conwy to go and take a peak!”

Roedd Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, wrth ei bodd yn ymweld â Bistro Telfords yng Nghonwy ddydd Gwener diwethaf.

Agorwyd y bwyty bwyd môr hwn yn nhref hanesyddol Conwy yn 2023 gan Christian Whittleworth a Douglas Langton.

Gyda 90% o'r fwydlen yn bysgod, mae amrywiaeth gwych o seigiau lliwgar yn defnyddio’r cynhwysion lleol ffres gorau – gwledd i’r llygaid a’r geg.

Mae'r prif gogydd Matthew Vaughan Jones yn gyn-gogydd yn y Fyddin Brydeinig a bu’n hynod lwyddiannus mewn cystadlaethau coginio tra'n gwasanaethu ledled y byd.

Wrth sôn am yr ymweliad dywedodd Janet:

"Roedd yn bleser pur ymweld â Bistro Telfords. Diolch i Christian a Douglas am edrych ar fy ôl ac am fy nhywys o gwmpas eu busnes anhygoel.

"Mae bob amser yn bleser gweld busnesau newydd yn ffynnu ac nid yw Bistro Telfords yn eithriad. Yn gweini pysgod blasus ffres, byddwn yn ei argymell i unrhyw un sy’n mwynhau bwyd môr. Roeddwn i wrth fy modd yn gweld bod ganddyn nhw gregyn gleision Conwy a Menai ar y fwydlen, un o’n ffefrynnau i!

"Mae'r awyrgylch yn y bwyty yn hyfryd ac yn groesawgar gyda llawr teils hyfryd yn rhoi naws gysurus a golygfeydd gwych o Gastell Conwy. Mae aelodau o'u teulu yn gweithio yno hefyd felly mae naws teuluol go iawn yno.

"Mae'n amlwg bod gan y prif gogydd Matthew flynyddoedd o brofiad ac mae'n manteisio’n llawn arno, gan greu prydau anhygoel i'r cwsmeriaid eu mwynhau.

"Gyda dewis ardderchog o win a choctels, byddwn yn annog unrhyw un sy'n ymweld â Chonwy i fynd yno am wledd!"
