Janet Finch-Saunders MS, who recently visited Bodnant Garden, has spoken of her delight at the special effort the team at one of the best gardens in the United Kingdom has gone to so to ensure that families can have an amazing day out this Autumn.

Created over 150 years, with plants collected and brought to Britain from far afield, and the incredible vision of generations of the McLaren family and Puddle head gardeners, this haven of rarity and beauty with a stunning backdrop of the Carneddau mountains of Eryri is a delight for the senses.

Autumnal activities at the garden include:

  • Dogs being welcome on short leads every day from 1 October - 31 March;
  • Looking for the work of local artist Jess Wheeler, who’s collection of bronze and copper acer leaves have been set into carved Welsh stone amongst the trees in the Acer Glade;
  • Experiencing the living Willow Maze.

Speaking after meeting with the new General Manager, Mr Hamza Mould, Janet said:

“With 80 acres to explore, there’s plenty of space for families to enjoy some quiet time together at Bodnant Garden.

“The work the whole team do throughout the year is exceptional, as we are seeing again this Autumn.

“It is wonderful that art has been hidden for visitors to spot, that a living maze can be conquered, and that we are allowed to take our furry friends!

“I recommend that you all take the opportunity to head over to Bodnant. Thanks to nature and the hard working team, it has something different to see and experience every time”.

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders AS, a ymwelodd â Gerddi Bodnant yn ddiweddar, wedi sôn am ei balchder gydag ymdrech arbennig y tîm yn un o erddi gorau'r Deyrnas Unedig i sicrhau y gall teuluoedd gael diwrnod i’r brenin yno yr Hydref hwn.

Mae’r hafan hardd ac unigryw hon yng nghysgod mynyddoedd y Carneddau yn Eryri, a grëwyd dros 150 mlynedd yn ôl, gyda phlanhigion wedi’u casglu a’u cludo i Brydain o bedwar ban byd yn ôl gweledigaeth anhygoel cenedlaethau o deulu McLaren a phrif arddwyr Puddle, yn siŵr o swyno’ch synhwyrau.

Mae gweithgareddau hydrefol yr ardd yn cynnwys:

  • Croesawu cŵn ar dennyn byr bob dydd o 1 Hydref - 31 Mawrth;
  • Cyfle i weld gwaith yr artist lleol Jess Wheeler, gyda’i chasgliad o ddail efydd a chopr wedi'u gosod mewn carreg gerfiedig o Gymru ymhlith y coed yn Llannerch Masarn;
  • Profi'r ddrysfa helyg fyw.

Wrth siarad ar ôl cyfarfod â Mr Hamza Mould, y Rheolwr Cyffredinol newydd, dywedodd Janet:

"Gydag 80 erw i'w darganfod, mae yna beth wmbreth o le i deuluoedd fwynhau ychydig o amser tawel gyda'i gilydd yng Ngerddi Bodnant.

"Mae'r gwaith y mae'r tîm cyfan yn ei wneud gydol y flwyddyn yn eithriadol, fel y gwelwn eto'r Hydref hwn.

"Mae'n wych bod yna ddarnau o gelf wedi’u cuddio i ymwelwyr ddod o hyd iddyn nhw, heb sôn am ddrysfa fyw, ac y gall pawb fwynhau yno yng nghwmni ein ffrindiau blewog!

"Rwy'n argymell bod pob un ohonoch yn manteisio ar y cyfle i bicio draw i Fodnant. Diolch i fyd natur a'r tîm sy'n gweithio'n galed yno, mae rhywbeth gwahanol i'w weld a'i brofi yno bob tro".
