The Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders MS, has praised the dedication and hard-work shown by Llandudno Town Council and a range of local stakeholders and volunteers in hosting the annual Llandudno fireworks display on North Shore beach. Held on Sunday 7th November 2021, this 20-minute beach display event is tide dependent. Around 1.5 hours were required in advance to safely set up the display.

Commenting after the event, Janet said:

“I share in the joy of our local residents and visitors in seeing the return of the spectacular firework display on Llandudno’s North Shore. The success of this premier and unrivalled beach event is a major boost for the local economy as we continue our Covid-19 recovery, and underlines why Llandudno is the Queen of Welsh resorts.

“Following the understandable cancellation of the 2020 display, there was much anticipation for this family event and, having been blessed with the weather and an opening in the tide times, it was great to see these tremendous rockets flashing colour over the skies of Llandudno.

“On behalf of the constituency, I should like to pay tribute to the dedication shown by Llandudno Town Council and Conwy County Borough Council, to restore this crucial annual event after a short hiatus. I also wish to thank those at Llandudno Pier for kindly providing the machinery and manpower required to implement such an event, as well as Conwy Safety Advisory Group for helping to implement the necessary road closure.

“Without the hard-work put in by workers and volunteers, the holding of such events would be unfeasible. You have our wholehearted gratitude for kindly pushing these plans from spark to awesome conclusion.”
