Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, is encouraging the nation to back the Welsh rugby team as they look to turn a corner after losing 12 games in a row.
Wales will commence their Six Nations campaign in Paris, France, today.
Speaking on the importance of rugby, Janet said:
“Whilst some fear a wooden spoon with only two wins in the previous 16 games in the tournament, there is room for optimism.
“As a nation we should pull together and back our Welsh team.
“We should send a clear message to the squad that we are behind them. Pob Lwc!”
ENDS
Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, AS Aberconwy, yn annog y genedl i gefnogi tîm rygbi Cymru wrth iddyn nhw geisio troi cornel ar ôl colli deuddeg gêm yn olynol.
Bydd Cymru'n dechrau eu hymgyrch Chwe Gwlad yn erbyn Ffrainc ym Mharis heno.
Wrth siarad am bwysigrwydd rygbi, dywedodd Janet:
“Er bod rhai yn ofni llwy bren gyda dim ond dwy fuddugoliaeth yn y 16 gêm flaenorol yn y twrnamaint, mae lle i fod yn obeithiol.
“Fel gwlad, mae angen i uno i gefnogi'r crysau cochion.
“Beth am anfon neges glir i'r garfan ein bod ni’n eu cefnogi nhw! Pob lwc!”
