The Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders MS, has spoken of her pride in the dedication and hard-work shown by local students on A-Level results day. Official results for A-levels, AS, the Welsh Baccalaureate and vocational qualifications were released on Tuesday 10 August 2021, although most Welsh pupils were given their provisional grades in June.
Celebrating their achievements, Janet said:
“I would like to wholeheartedly congratulate every student who has picked up their A Level results. Today remains a significant milestone for all of our young people who are hoping to go to university, begin an apprenticeship or take their first steps into the workplace.
“The dedication and hard-work that these students have shown, through the most challenging of circumstances, has been awe inspiring. Each student should be immensely proud of their remarkable achievements and look to take their next steps with their head held high.
“In an academic year like no other, we should also commend our teachers and parents who have provided an essential and guiding support network, going above and beyond to ensure opportunities for development remain open to the next generation. I wish all of our students the best of luck with their next steps.”
