Janey and Cris

Mr Cris Martindale, a resident of Cwm Penmachno, has been praised for his unceasing commitment to the improvement of public rights of way in Cwm Penmachno, Eryri.

Mr Martindale has been publicly thanked by Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, for his tireless work, which includes producing maps of local paths, liaising with both Eryri National Park and Conwy County Borough Council officials, securing way markers, and improving public awareness of the routes.
After seeing Mr Martindale recently, Janet said:

“My sincere thanks and congratulations to Cris for his fantastic voluntary work through which he champions rights of way in Cwm Penmachno.

“The positive steps he has taken to improve awareness of the routes in the Machno Valley are to be commended.

“Regular walking helps ease symptoms of chronic diseases, reduces anxiety and depression, and boosts emotional health. It also enhances cardiovascular health, regulates blood pressure, increases metabolic rate, and helps maintain a healthy weight.

“This Easter, I encourage all to include a walk around Cwm Penmachno on your itinerary. It is a truly beautiful community”.
