Tourist accommodation provides across Aberconwy and Wales have been praised for “showing Wales at its best during the Easter holiday”.

The comments come as Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, visited one such accommodation business, The Tynedale Hotel, an incredible 4-star hotel situated on the iconic Llandudno Victorian promenade.

Nathan and Tracey Midgley, the owners of the Tynedale, have created a fantastic and unique hotel that has so much to offer, such as sitting under a heated shelter listening to sea crashing on the beach.

Commenting on the visit to the Tynedale, Janet said:

“I would like to thank Nathan, Tracey, and all tourist accommodation providers in Aberconwy and across Wales for showing Wales at its best during the Easter holiday.

“The warm welcome provided to guests, dedication to top class service, and passion for ensuring that guests have the best possible experience in Wales is truly commendable.

“Owners and managers are first out and last in to bed. They work extremely hard, many 7 days a week, to keep their businesses going, staff in employment, and guests coming to Wales.

“This hard work should be celebrated even more so as the sector is under massive pressure from both the UK and Welsh governments.  From tougher rules on holiday lets to national insurance changes, reduced business rate relief to increased wages, tourism tax to 20mph, Wales has become a very difficult place to run a hospitality business. That can and must change!”

Mae llety twristiaid ar draws Cymru ac Aberconwy wedi cael eu canmol am "ddangos Cymru ar ei gorau yn ystod gwyliau'r Pasg".

Daw'r sylwadau wrth i Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, ymweld ag un busnes llety o'r fath, The Tynedale Hotel, gwesty 4 seren anhygoel sydd wedi'i leoli ar bromenâd Fictoraidd eiconig Llandudno.

Mae Nathan a Tracey Midgley, perchnogion y Tynedale, wedi creu gwesty gwych ac unigryw sydd â chymaint i'w gynnig, fel y cyfle i eistedd dan loches wedi'i gynhesu yn gwrando ar donnau’r môr.

Wrth sôn am yr ymweliad â'r Tynedale, dywedodd Janet:

"Hoffwn ddiolch i Nathan, Tracey, a'r holl ddarparwyr llety i dwristiaid yn Aberconwy a ledled Cymru am ddangos Cymru ar ei gorau yn ystod gwyliau'r Pasg.

"Mae'r croeso cynnes a ddarperir i westeion, yr ymroddiad i wasanaeth o'r radd flaenaf, a'r angerdd dros sicrhau bod gwesteion yn cael y profiad gorau posibl yng Nghymru yn wirioneddol ganmoladwy.

"Perchnogion a rheolwyr yw'r cyntaf i godi a’r olaf i noswylio. Maen nhw’n gweithio'n galed iawn, llawer am 7 diwrnod yr wythnos, i gadw eu busnesau i fynd, eu staff mewn cyflogaeth, a denu gwesteion i Gymru.

"Dylid dathlu’r gwaith caled hwn yn fwy nag erioed gan fod y sector dan bwysau enfawr gan lywodraethau'r DU a Chymru. O reolau llymach ar osod llety gwyliau i newidiadau i’r yswiriant gwladol, o lai o ryddhad ardrethi busnes i gyflogau uwch, o’r dreth dwristiaeth i 20mya, mae Cymru wedi dod yn lle anodd iawn i redeg busnes lletygarwch. Gall hynny newid ac mae’n rhaid iddo newid!"
