Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Senedd for Bangor Conwy Môn, has written to the Chief Executive of the Post Office to express her deep concerns that the closure of the TG Jones store in Llandudno will result in the closure of the town’s main Post Office, which operates within the store.
Janet commented:
“The closure of the Post Office will deal a devastating blow to the local area, with many residents, visitors and businesses relying on the branch. Its closure will create significant uncertainty, as the closest alternative is a small branch within the One Stop store at West Shore, which is already very busy.
“People rely on these vital services for access to cash, deposits, bill payments, parcel services and many other essential services. We must remember that not everyone is able to use or has access to online banking. Therefore, it is essential that we do not lose these vital services.
“I have written to the Chief Executive of the Post Office, calling on them to secure a full service branch in central Llandudno. We must do all that we can to secure the future of the branch and ensure that everyone has access to a local Post Office.”
