Passengers ferried to Queen of Welsh resorts in “unique and welcome” sight

A cruise ship has moored off the coast of Llandudno’s North Shore. The Italian built MS Hebridean Sky is one of the two flag ships of the Noble Caledonia cruise line, featuring 59 spacious and luxury suites. A video of the small boats ferrying passengers to the shoreline is attached.

Welcoming the visiting of the passengers, Janet said:

“The appearance of these small boats on Llandudno’s North Shore, gently ferrying passengers to spend their pounds in the Queen of the Welsh resorts, is a unique and welcome sight at the height of the summer tourism season. I hope that they have a splendid time exploring our region.

“After such a turbulent 18 months, it is great to see the return of these luxury ships to our horizon. The cruise industry remains a vital artery for economies around the world, supporting over 1.17 million jobs worldwide, so this is a real positive pointer towards the resumption of these wonderful services.

“It is my hope that this non-disruptive practice will become commonplace, as more ships visit the jewel in the Welsh tourism crown, as their landings will support the arrival of visitors to our towns and villages in conjunction with our other public transport links.”
