So far in 2022, the National Lottery Community Fund has awarded over £64,170 to community groups in Aberconwy.

The grants are awarded to grassroot projects, and they are also given to larger projects that focus on big social issues such as improving mental health services or reducing homelessness.

One specific project is Tudno Playschool, that recently received a donation from the National Lottery. The money has allowed them to purchase new equipment to promote parental engagement for children with additional learning needs and disabilities. The equipment can be used at home as well as schools.

Commenting on the allocation of funds by the National Lottery, Janet said:

“I am delighted hear about the positive impact the National Lottery is making in Aberconwy.

“The Community Fund support projects that provide amazing opportunities for people and communities across the country, by investing in schemes such as at Tudo Playschool, Ysgol Llanddoged, and the Chabad Retreat Centre.

“I want to give a big thank you to the National Lottery for supporting schemes in Aberconwy, and all who have bought a lottery ticket.  Without you, several amazing schemes would struggle”
