Arriva Buses Wales have agreed that as an intermediate step they will pick up passengers beside the A470 in Pentrefelin, Glan Conwy, on the bridge over Nant Garreg-Ddu.
The service will be on a hail and ride basis as there are currently no stops. This will take place immediately with drivers informed yesterday through a message on the ticket machines. It is kindly asked that residents mention to the driver that this is where they would like to alight when boarding.
Arriva have requested that this is made a permanent stop which Conwy County Borough Council will consider in due course
Commenting on the new bus arrangements, Janet Finch-Saunders MS said:
“A number of residents contacted me raising concern that buses were no longer stopping in Pentrefelin, Glan Conwy. I am delighted that a short and long term solution has been found.
“The temporary arrangements mean that constituents and visitors can still travel to and from Pentrefelin. More so, it results in the stops being in highly visible locations.
“I hope that Conwy County Borough Council agree to make these arrangements permanent”.

Wrth sôn am y trefniadau bysiau newydd, dywedodd Janet Finch-Saunders AS:
“Cysylltodd nifer o drigolion â mi gan godi pryder nad oedd bysiau'n stopio ym Mhentrefelin, Glan Conwy mwyach. Dwi'n falch bod atebion tymor byr a hirdymor wedi'u canfod.
“Mae'r trefniadau dros dro yn golygu y gall etholwyr ac ymwelwyr deithio i Bentrefelin ac yn ôl. Yn fwy felly, mae'n arwain at leoli’r safleoedd mewn lleoliadau hynod amlwg.
“Rwy'n gobeithio y bydd Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy yn cytuno i wneud y trefniadau hyn yn barhaol”.
