Following last week’s Welsh Conservative Conference at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Janet Finch-Saunders thanked Venue Cymru for hosting the conference and praised it as a fantastic venue, saying she looks forward to returning.
At the conference Janet Finch-Saunders MS set out clear priorities to get Wales working again.
Janet highlighted the need to declare a health emergency, improve access to GP appointments, cut waiting times, end corridor care, and expand social care beds to relieve pressure on hospitals and emergency departments. This was backed up by recognition of the BEDS campaign who have been campaigning to end corridor care.
Janet also called for an end to policies holding Wales back, including the 20mph speed limit, NVZ restrictions on farmers, and costly vanity projects. She also stressed the importance of investing in infrastructure, including a third Menai crossing and unfreezing stalled road projects to support businesses and communities.

“Wales needs a government focused on outcomes, not ideology. From fixing our broken health service and supporting social care, to freeing up businesses, improving transport and backing our farmers, these are practical steps needed to get Wales working again.
People want action, common sense and priorities that reflect the real challenges they face every day.
The Welsh Government must move away from costly, ineffective policies and refocus on measures that genuinely improve lives, strengthen the economy and restore confidence in public services.”
