Prior to the wildfires that large parts of Wales faced earlier this week, Janet Finch-Saunders, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, visited the local fire and rescue force at Llandudno Fire Station.
During the visit, Janet was shown around the fire station and introduced to various historical firefighting instruments, which gave her a great sense of the dedication that generations of firefighters in Llandudno have shown in keeping residents safe.
Janet expressed her sincere gratitude to the fire and rescue team for all of their incredible and dangerous work that keeps us all safe and reassured.
Commenting on the visit to the fire station, Janet said:
“My sincere thanks go out to our local heroes, our local firefighters, who work hard every day and put themselves at risk to ensure that we are all safe and can be reassured in the event of a fire.
“Their dedication and service are vital to note, especially in light of the recent wildfires that took place in North Wales, where fire and rescue teams across the whole country worked hard to extinguish the fires safely.”

Cyn y tanau gwyllt a wynebodd rannau helaeth o Gymru yn gynharach yr wythnos hon, bu Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, yn ymweld â'r llu tân ac achub lleol yng Ngorsaf Dân Llandudno.
Yn ystod yr ymweliad, cafodd Janet ei dangos o gwmpas yr orsaf dân a'i chyflwyno i amrywiol offerynnau diffodd tân hanesyddol, a roddodd ymdeimlad gwych iddi o'r ymroddiad y mae cenedlaethau o ddiffoddwyr tân yn Llandudno wedi'i ddangos i gadw trigolion yn ddiogel.
Mynegodd Janet ei diolch diffuant i'r tîm tân ac achub am eu holl waith anhygoel a pheryglus sy'n ein cadw ni i gyd yn ddiogel ac yn dawel ein meddwl.
Wrth sôn am yr ymweliad â'r orsaf dân, dywedodd Janet:
"Diolch o galon i'n harwyr lleol, ein diffoddwyr tân lleol, sy'n gweithio'n galed bob dydd ac yn rhoi eu hunain mewn perygl i sicrhau ein bod ni i gyd yn ddiogel ac y byddem yn dawel ein meddwl pe bai tân.
"Mae’n bwysig cydnabod eu hymroddiad a'u gwasanaeth, yn enwedig yn sgil y tanau gwyllt diweddar a ddigwyddodd yn y gogledd, lle gweithiodd timau tân ac achub ledled y wlad gyfan yn galed i ddiffodd y tanau yn ddiogel."
