This Sunday marks Remembrance Sunday which provides us with an opportunity to reflect and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice or put their lives on the line so to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.
Commenting on Remembrance Sunday, Janet Finch-Saunders, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, stated:
“Remembrance Sunday offers us the chance to reflect on those who have served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms that we enjoy.
“Around 15,000 Welshmen were killed during the Second World War, and around 35,000 Welsh men and women died in the First World War, many of whom were shockingly young when they lost their lives. One such young man from Llandudno was only 17 years old.
“It is vital that we use this time to remember them, as well as think of those who are currently serving.”
