Janet

Last week saw Janet Finch-Saunders MS pay a visit to Dudley & George’s, 127 Mostyn Street, Llandudno, United Kingdom.

The Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy called in to meet Jason Pinnick, owner of Dudley & George’s General Store, a place where dogs, and their humans, can shop, meet, eat and drink.  Jason opened his store a year ago, and since then he has established his coffee house within it.  Focussing on being organic and natural, customers and their four-legged companions are welcome to browse and sample the range of treats and food in-store.

Speaking after the visit, Janet said:

“It was lovely to meet Jason and to spend some time in his beautiful store.

“Clearly, this is a business which has dogs at its very heart, with a large range of quality dog accessories, food and toys for sale in its store.

“However, there really is something for everyone, whether four and two legged, with a range of books, candles, home fragrance and décor, all locally sourced where possible.

“Added to this, dogs, and their well-behaved owners, are welcome to enjoy food and drink, either inside or outside the store.

“I applaud Jason’s business model aimed at working with local suppliers who are conscious of their environmental impact, and in developing his own range of natural nutritious foods for our furry friends.

“Not one to rest on his laurels, Jason also shared with me the news of his imminent opening of ‘Hotdogs Spa’, in space beneath his store, allowing for pooches to be pampered whilst their owners relax in the coffee shop above.

“It is safe to say as pet shops go, this one really is Best of Breed”

Yr wythnos diwethaf bu Janet Finch-Saunders AS yn Dudley & George's, 127 Stryd Mostyn, Llandudno.

Piciodd yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy yno i gwrdd â Jason Pinnick, perchennog Siop Dudley & George, lle gall cŵn, a'u perchnogion, siopa, cyfarfod, bwyta ac yfed.  Agorodd Jason ei siop flwyddyn yn ôl, ac ers hynny mae wedi sefydlu caffi ynddi. Gan ganolbwyntio ar fod yn organig a naturiol, mae croeso i gwsmeriaid a'u cyfeillion pedair coes fwynhau’r wledd o ddanteithion a trits yn y siop.

Yn siarad ar ôl yr ymweliad, dywedodd Janet:

"Roedd hi'n hyfryd cwrdd â Jason a threulio ychydig o amser yn ei siop hardd.

"Yn amlwg, mae hwn yn fusnes sydd â chŵn yn ganolog iddo, gydag amrywiaeth fawr o nwyddau cŵn o safon, bwyd a theganau ar werth yn ei siop.

"Fodd bynnag, mae yna rywbeth i bawb mewn gwirionedd, boed yn bedair coes neu’n ddwy goes, gyda llyfrau, canhwyllau, persawr i’r cartref ac addurniadau ar gael yno, gyda chymaint â phosib ohono’n gynnyrch lleol.

"Yn ogystal, mae croeso i gŵn, a'u perchnogion sy'n ymddwyn yn dda, fwynhau bwyd a diod, naill ai y tu mewn neu y tu allan i'r siop.

"Rydw i'n cymeradwyo model busnes Jason sy’n ceisio gweithio gyda chyflenwyr lleol sy'n ymwybodol o'u heffaith amgylcheddol, a datblygu ei amrywiaeth ei hun o fwydydd maethlon naturiol i'n ffrindiau blewog.

"Dydy Jason yn sicr ddim yn un i laesu dwylo, a dywedodd ei fod ar fin agor 'Hotdogs Spa', yn y gofod o dan ei siop, er mwyn i gŵn gael eu sbwylio tra bod eu perchnogion yn ymlacio yn y caffi i fyny’r grisiau.

"Teg dweud o ran siopau anifeiliaid anwes, bod hon yn haeddu’r rhuban coch"
