After attending the Remembrance Sunday Service in Llandudno, Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has expressed her thanks to communities across Aberconwy for facilitating respectful acts of remembrance.

Across the whole of the constituency, even in bad weather, people came together to remember all who put their lives on the line to help ensure that we enjoy our freedoms today.

Commenting on Remembrance Sunday, Janet said:

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organisation of very moving remembrance services here in Aberconwy.

“It is a great honour to participate in a parade alongside veterans and service personnel.

“At a time of global instability and human suffering, remembrance was an important reminder of the huge sacrifices that have been made for us, and how we should never give up the dream of worldwide peace.

“By pursuing and promoting democracy globally, I remain hopeful that we will one day achieve a situation where nations no longer lift up swords against nations anymore”.

Ar ôl mynychu Gwasanaeth Sul y Cofio yn Llandudno, mae Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, wedi diolch i gymunedau ledled Aberconwy am hwyluso digwyddiadau coffa parchus.

Ledled yr etholaeth gyfan, hyd yn oed mewn tywydd gwael, daeth pobl ynghyd i gofio pawb a beryglodd ac a gollodd eu bywydau er mwyn helpu i sicrhau ein bod ni’n mwynhau pob rhyddid sydd gennym ni heddiw.

Wrth sôn am Sul y Cofio, dywedodd Janet:

"Hoffwn ddiolch i bawb a gyfrannodd at drefnu gwasanaethau coffa teimladwy iawn yma yn Aberconwy.

"Mae'n anrhydedd mawr cymryd rhan mewn gorymdaith ochr yn ochr â chyn-filwyr a phersonél y lluoedd arfog.

"Ar adeg o ansefydlogrwydd byd-eang a dioddefaint dynol, roedd cofio yn atgof pwysig o'r aberth enfawr a wnaed i ni, a sut na ddylem ni fyth roi'r gorau i'r freuddwyd o heddwch byd-eang.

"Drwy hyrwyddo a gweithio dros ddemocratiaeth yn fyd-eang, rwy'n parhau i fod yn obeithiol y byddwn un diwrnod yn cyrraedd sefyllfa lle nad yw cenhedloedd yn codi arfau yn erbyn cenhedloedd eraill".
