Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, is hosting a public meeting to address growing concerns over anti-social behaviour in Llandudno.

đź“… Date: 7th February 2025
🕕 Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm
📍 Location: The Lilly, W Parade, West Shore, Llandudno, LL30 2BD

The meeting follows a worrying increase in anti-social behaviour across Llandudno, with alarming incidents reported at Llandudno General Hospital, where a mattress was set on fire, nursing staff have been insulted, and toilets have been deliberately flooded.

Beyond the hospital, residents and visitors have witnessed street drinkers and drug users congregating, fighting, and even defecating in public—including outside Llandudno Town Hall and on the steps of Emmanuel Church on Lloyd Street. In a particularly shocking incident, a middle-aged woman was found bleeding outside the church, prompting calls to North Wales Police.

Commenting on the meeting Janet said:

"The reports of anti-social behaviour in Llandudno are deeply troubling.

“The incident at the hospital has meant that Hospital managers have been forced to restrict access after repeated break-ins by youths.

“Residents should feel safe in their own community, and action must be taken to address these issues.

"This public meeting will provide residents with a platform to voice their concerns and seek solutions to these issues. There will also be an opportunity to discuss other local matters, including sand management and the future of Llandudno Library.

“To book a place at the meeting, please contact my office on 01492 871 198 or email [email protected] I look forward to seeing you there!”

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, yn cynnal cyfarfod cyhoeddus i fynd i'r afael â phryderon cynyddol am ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol yn Llandudno.

đź“… Dyddiad: 7 Chwefror 2025
đź•• Amser: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
📍 Lleoliad: The Lilly, Rhodfa'r Gorllewin, Pen Morfa, Llandudno, LL30 2BD

Daw'r cyfarfod yn dilyn cynnydd pryderus mewn ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol ar draws Llandudno, gyda digwyddiadau brawychus yn cael eu hadrodd yn Ysbyty Cyffredinol Llandudno. Cafodd matres ei rhoi ar dân, mae staff nyrsio wedi cael eu sarhau, a thoiledau wedi cael eu gorlifo’n fwriadol.

Y tu hwnt i'r ysbyty, mae trigolion ac ymwelwyr wedi gweld yfwyr a defnyddwyr cyffuriau ar y stryd yn ymgynnull, yn ymladd, a hyd yn oed yn ymgarthu yn gyhoeddus—gan gynnwys y tu allan i Neuadd y Dref ac ar risiau Eglwys Emmanuel ar Stryd Lloyd. Mewn un digwyddiad arbennig o frawychus, cafwyd hyd i ddynes ganol oed yn gwaedu y tu allan i'r eglwys, a chafodd Heddlu Gogledd Cymru eu galw.

Wrth sĂ´n am y cyfarfod dywedodd Janet:

"Mae'r adroddiadau o ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol yn Llandudno yn peri gofid mawr.

"Mae'r digwyddiad yn yr ysbyty wedi golygu bod rheolwyr yr ysbyty wedi cael eu gorfodi i gyfyngu mynediad ar Ă´l i bobl ifanc dorri i mewn dro ar Ă´l tro.

"Dylai trigolion deimlo'n ddiogel yn eu cymuned eu hunain, ac mae'n rhaid cymryd camau i fynd i'r afael â'r problemau hyn.

"Bydd y cyfarfod cyhoeddus hwn yn rhoi llwyfan i drigolion leisio eu pryderon a cheisio atebion i'r problemau hyn. Bydd cyfle hefyd i drafod problemau lleol eraill, gan gynnwys rheoli tywod a dyfodol Llyfrgell Llandudno.

"I gadw’ch lle yn y cyfarfod, cysylltwch â’m swyddfa ar 01492 871 198 neu e-bostiwch [email protected]. Edrychaf ymlaen at eich gweld chi yno!"
