St Mary's Church Hall in Conwy town has undergone a £350,000 transformation into an even greater community hub.

The project received £249,999 from the UK Conservative Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, alongside additional funding from the and Bangor Diocese (£70,000), Gwynt y Mor Fund (£25,000), and Conwy Town Council (£10,000).

Speaking after visiting the Hall, Janet said:

“I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in this fantastic transformation.

“For years, I have been making use of the hall to hold community surgeries because of its central location.

“Upcoming events include craft fairs, exhibitions, creative workshops, wellbeing classes, music, and performances.

“The venue now boasts a new semi-commercial kitchen, and is set to serve as a vital base for the Bags of Love food bank programme, which provides support to families and individuals in need within the local community.

“It is uplifting to see venues like this going from strength to strength.  Well done all!”.

Mae Neuadd Eglwys y Santes Fair yn nhref Conwy wedi’i gweddnewid yn ganolfan gymunedol well nag erioed am gost o £350,000.

Derbyniodd y prosiect £249,999 gan Lywodraeth Geidwadol y DU drwy’r Gronfa Ffyniant Gyffredin, ochr yn ochr â chyllid ychwanegol gan Esgobaeth Bangor (£70,000), Cronfa Gwynt y Môr (£25,000), a Chyngor Tref Conwy (£10,000).

Wrth siarad ar ôl ymweld â'r Neuadd, dywedodd Janet:

"Hoffwn ddiolch i bawb sydd wedi bod yn rhan o'r gwaith trawsnewid gwych hwn.

"Ers blynyddoedd, rydw i wedi bod yn defnyddio'r neuadd i gynnal cymorthfeydd cymunedol oherwydd ei lleoliad canolog.

"Mae'r digwyddiadau sydd ar y gweill yn cynnwys ffeiriau crefftau, arddangosfeydd, gweithdai creadigol, dosbarthiadau lles, cerddoriaeth a pherfformiadau.

"Mae gan y lleoliad bellach gegin led-fasnachol newydd, ac mae disgwyl iddo wasanaethu fel sylfaen hanfodol ar gyfer rhaglen banc bwyd Bags of Love, sy'n darparu cefnogaeth i deuluoedd ac unigolion mewn angen yn y gymuned leol.

"Mae'n galonogol gweld lleoliadau fel hyn yn mynd o nerth i nerth. Da iawn pawb!".
