Janet Finch-Saunders MS has expressed her thanks to all pupils and teachers at Ysgol Dyffryn yr Enfys for their wonderful reception.
The Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy visited the school and spoke with pupils about the issues that matter most to them.
Pupils asked the Member a wide range of questions, and participated in a mini-election to show the democratic process in action.
Speaking after the visit, Janet said:
“I’d like to pay a huge thanks to everyone at Ysgol Dyffryn yr Enfys for their very warm welcome.
“It was great to talk with pupils about their concerns and priorities, as well as explaining my roles and responsibilities as an elected Member.
“Of course, the future wellbeing of our planet was a key issue of concern, and as Shadow Minister for Climate Change this is something I am working every day to address.
“I was incredibly impressed throughout by the maturity of the questions and contributions.
“From everything I’ve seen, I think our democracy will be in safe hands”!
Mae Janet Finch-Saunders AS wedi diolch i’r holl ddisgyblion ac athrawon yn Ysgol Dyffryn yr Enfys am eu croeso cynnes.
Bu’r Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy yn yr ysgol yn siarad gyda disgyblion am y materion sydd o’r pwys mwyaf iddyn nhw.
Gofynnodd disgyblion ystod eang o gwestiynau i'r Aelod, gan gymryd rhan mewn etholiad bach i ddangos y broses ddemocrataidd ar waith.
Wrth siarad ar ôl yr ymweliad, dywedodd Janet:
"Hoffwn ddiolch o galon i bawb yn Ysgol Dyffryn yr Enfys am eu croeso cynnes.
"Roedd hi'n wych siarad gyda disgyblion am eu pryderon a'u blaenoriaethau, yn ogystal ag egluro fy swyddogaethau a'm cyfrifoldebau fel Aelod etholedig.
"Wrth gwrs, roedd lles ein planed yn y dyfodol yn peri pryder mawr, ac fel Gweinidog Newid Hinsawdd yr Wrthblaid mae hyn yn rhywbeth rwy'n gweithio bob dydd i fynd i'r afael ag o.
"Fe wnaeth aeddfedrwydd y cwestiynau a'r cyfraniadau argraff anhygoel arna’i.
"O’r hyn dwi wedi’i weld, rwy'n meddwl bod ein democratiaeth mewn dwylo diogel"!
